Tender on construction of support fleet for Gazprom Neft New Port terminal can be announced in 2014

A tender on construction of a support fleet for Gazprom Neft New Port terminal (Ob Bay near Kamenny Cape) can be announced before the end of 2014, IAA PortNews was informed by a source at Gazprom Neft New Port LLC. 

In May 2014, Gazprom Neft Trading GmbH will declare the results of the tender on short sea oil transportation from the Novoportovskoye oil & gas field by Kamenny Cape – Murmansk route via New Port. The tankers for further transportation (primarily to Rotterdam) will be chartered by the cargo owner at the market. 

Oil shipments from the Novoportovskoye field via the Arctic sea terminal at Kamenny Cape (Yamal) will commence in early 2016.

The Novoportovskoye oil & gas field is located in the Yamal district of Yamal-Nenets autonomous region, the largest one in the district. Recoverable C1, C2 reserves of oil and gas from Novoportovskoye field are estimated at 230 million tonnes of oil and 270 billion cbm of gas.

The project of Institute Shelf (Simferopol) implies the construction of a sea terminal with the capacity of 8.5 mln t of oil per year. Crude oil will be delivered to the terminal from the Novoportovskoye field by a 106-km long pressure line.
