Vega Biofuels received a 3,000 ton order from ECEM Salzburg Energy and Environment Consulting which will be the initial Bio-coal order produced at Vega’s Joint Venture torrefaction manufacturing facility in Allendale. The Bio-coal will be shipped from the Port of Savannah to The Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands upon completion, Port of Rotterdam Authority said in its press release.
Vega recently announced that along with its partners, including Agri-Tech Producers, LLC (ATP), is building a state of the art torrefaction facility in Allendale, SC. ATP-SC, LLC will produce various torrefied products, including Bio-coal. The partners plan to build additional plants around the world and the Allendale pilot plant will be a model for those plants.
