The vessels of Baltic Fuel Company have opened today the transit navigation of 2014 at river Svir (Leningrad region, Volga-Baltic Waterway). As IAA PortNews was informed by Vladimir Nikolayev, head of Volgo-Balt Administration, the first transit vessel to pass the locks was Volgoneft-41, followed by tug and tow trains with the non-self-propelled vessels EuroStar 1 – Taisia and EuroStar 4 – Maria.
According to Baltic Fuel Company, all the three vessels are on their voyage to Samara where they will be loaded under the contract with Rosneft. In navigation 2014, the company plans to carry at least 500,000 t of oil products along the inland water ways of Russia.
