Tug RB- 412 completes sea trials at Pella Shipyard

Tugboat "RB- 412" of 90600 design (Hull No940 ) that was built at Leningrad region based Pella Shipyard has successfully passed the shipyard's sea trials, the company said Wednesday.

The vessel will enter service with the Black Sea Fleet until the end of the year.

The multipurpose tug is designed for towing and berthing operations at the port, at offshore anchorage and in coastal areas complying R3 navigation area, for refloating ships, firefighting on offshore and onshore facilities, for oil spill response, as well as for cargo transportation and ice breaking.

General specifications: length - 25.4 m, beam - 8.8 m, draft - 4.2 m, operational speed - 11.8 knots. The vessel was built to RS class - KM Arc4 R3 Aut3 Tug..

Leningrad region, Russia based JSC Pella Shipyard was founded in 1950. In 1992 Pella was privatized as Pella Holding Co. comprising the Otradnoye headquarters and several subsidiaries. The shipbuilding group specializes in building harbor tugs with rated power of 1,000-5,000hp, pusher tugs, escort tugs, pilot boats and rescue boats for Russian and foreign customers.
