A water tour by a ship owned by Vodokhod LLC including a visit to JSC Sovcomflot’s Training and Engineering Centre was held within the framework of the International Conference “Impact of Shipping on Air in Europe”. The Conference which opens in Saint-Petersburg on October 1, 2014, is organized by Media Group PortNews.
The conference is supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the National Chamber of Shipping.
The event sponsors are: Gazpromneft Marine Bunker, Vodokhod, Baltic Fuel Company and PORT FLEET.
The conference partners are: Krylov State Research Center, CNIIMF, Russian Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers .
The goal of the conference is to associate actual environmental threats of shipping in the seas of the Northern Europe to the available technological means of decreasing the content of harmful substances in bunker fuel and the threat of global reduction of maritime cargo and passenger traffic.
Invited to participate: representatives of IMO, HELCOM, OSPAR, marine administrations of Russia and foreign countries, representatives of the International Chamber of Shipping, Russian and foreign shipping companies, equipment manufacturers and shipyards, bunker suppliers, designers, classification societies, industry experts, media.
SCF Training and Engineering Centre was licensed and opened in Saint-Petersburg in 2013. It is focused on training the entire range of operations in the Arctic waters.
