Vladimir Putin orders to put missile-carrying submarines Vladimir Monomakh and Alexander Nevsky on combat duty in 2015

The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin ordered to put the two missile-carrying submarines Vladimir Monomakh and Alexander Nevsky on combat duty in 2015. “But we will defend our country’s security firmly and consistently”, Putin said according to the transcript of the expanded meeting of the Defence Ministry Board. 

The year of 2014 saw successful launches of intercontinental ballistic missile Bulava from the Vladimir Monomakh, the Yuri Dolgorukiy and the Aleksandr Nevsky submarines.
