LUKOIL-BUNKER's Murmansk branch starts supplying clean bunker fuel

As of January 2015 the Murmansk branch of "LUKOIL-BUNKER" commenced regular supply of environment-friendly bunker fuel produced by OAO "LUKOIL", the Company said in a press release.

The low-sulphur product will be supplied to ships sailing to Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECAs, North Sea, Baltic Sea and the English Channel).

Previously, IAA PortNews reported that OAO "LUKOIL" had developed a new brand of marine fuel applicable inside emission control areas established to minimize air pollution from ships. This product will comply with new restrictions that have come into force as of January 2015 on sulfur content in marine fuel which shall not exceed 0.1%.

LUKOIL-BUNKER is a subsidiary of LUKOIL, Russia's largest oil company. The Company specializes primarily in the supply of marine fuel at sea and river ports of the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia. Today the company ranks a top largest bunkers supplier at Russian ports.
