Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port down 28.6% to 165,300 t in Jan’15

In January 2015, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 165,300 t (-28.6%, year-on-year), the stevedoring company says.

In the reported period, transshipment of ferrous metal fell by 39.6% to 75,700 t, coal and coke – plunged 1.8 times to 15,300 t, transshipment of oil products totaled 8,200 t, scrap metal - 17,400 t.

The port’s container throughput dropped 2 times to 4,549 TEUs.

Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2014, the port’s throughput totaled 3.357 mln t.
