RS takes part in 5-th International Offshore Engineering Technology & Equipment Exhibition China Maritime
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is going to take part in the 5-th International Offshore Engineering Technology & Equipment Exhibition China Maritime, RS says in its press release. The event will be held on 26-28 March 2015 in Beijing (People's Republic of China). One of the largest industry forums of Asia provides a great opportunity to exhibit modern technologies and advanced products including marine facilities, port and ship equipment, as well as to exchange technical information and discuss the trends of industry development.
The RS stand shows the whole range of services in classification and survey during designing, construction, repair and operation of ships, offshore facilities and containers, during manufacturing of different materials, products and ship equipment, as well as services on approval of manufacture processes, recognising of manufacturers, certification of manufacturers, products and services, quality management systems, industrial safety expertise, etc.
RS has operated in China since the late 1940s and continues to actively develop cooperation with Chinese companies. Two offshore supply vessels of MTD P227 Type constructed to RS class were launched in Keppel Nantong Shipyard (Nantong) just before opening of the exhibition in mid-March. RS class notation: КМ✪Arc4 [1] AUT1 ICS FF3WS DYNPOS-2 Supply vessel. The specialists of the RS Branch Office in Shanghai carry out survey during construction.
The ships are designed for provisioning and ensuring safe operation of oil and gas platforms at V. Filanovsky field in the northern part of the Caspian Sea, where RS surveys all types of offshore facilities including underwater pipelines as well as sea operations for laying pipelines and towing platforms to the installation point. The new ships will be equipped with advanced up-to-date fire-fighting systems for offshore facilities and equipment for oil spill response. The ships are to be delivered to the customer in September 2015.
