PIL, COSCON, Wan Hai and Yangming launch second Far East -Middle East service

PIL, together with COSCON, Wan Hai and Yangming announce co-operation in the Far East - Middle East trade commencing from Pusan on 5 April 2015. The new service, named CM2, will be PIL's second Far East - Middle East loop with a total of 6 vessels of 5500 TEUs each. CM2 aims to complement our current China Middle East Service or "CMS" with enhanced port coverage, increased frequency and improved transit time, PIL said in its press release.

The weekly CM2 service covers the following port rotation in 42 days:
Pusan-Qingdao-Ningbo-Kaohsiung-Shekou-Singapore-Jebel Ali-Penang- Singapore-Kaohsiung-Pusan.

PIL operates container liner services covering the whole of the Far East to Europe, Canada, the Indian sub-continent, Middle East Red Sea/Gulf, East Africa, South/West Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, East and West Coast of South America, U.S. West Coast, and the Black Sea. It has a dedicated network of feeder services covering a comprehensive range of ports in South East Asia, the Bay of Bengal, the East Coast of India, West Africa, Micronesia and the Pacific Islands. PIL is also offering a direct link for project and break bulk shipment through its Multi Purpose Service between the Far East and Africa / India Sub-continent.
