In the first quarter of 2015, EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port handled 2.1 mln t of cargo (+4%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
In March, the company handled 660,600 t of cargo (+6%, year-on-year). Coal exports totaled almost 367,000 t (+24%, year-on-year) while shipments of ferrous metals made 293,000 t.
EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port is a major stevedore company operating at the largest Russia’s Far Eastern Port of Nakhodka, located in the eastern Gulf of Peter the Great, in Nakhodka Bay. The port is linked to the Eurasian continent through the Trans-Siberian Railway, serving the Asia-Europe-Asia trade flows. JSC EVRAZ NCSP operates on 15 cargo berths and one facility for handling the port’s workboats, of total length of 3.5 km, which can accommodate ships with length of 230m, breadth of 32m and draft of 11 m. Currently, at least 15 ships are able dock at the port’s berths simultaneously and the port can receive more than 1,500 large vessels a year. In 2014, EVRAZ NCSP handled 9,3 mln t of cargo (+25%, year-on-year).
