At the meeting dedicated the development of shipbuilding in Crimea, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin promised to load shipbuilding enterprises of Crimea and Sevastopol. According to the Administration of Crimea, shipyard Zaliv is supposed to be involved in the construction of the Kerch bridge. Besides, Severodvinsk based shipyard Zvezdochka is going to hand over several orders to Sevastopol Shipyard. Moreover, partnership is expected with the strategic investor for the Feodosia based shipyard More.
When opening the meeting Dmitry Rogozin noted poor loading of Crimean shipyards. According to him, representatives of the Military-Industrial Commission’s Board have surveyed the situation of Crimean shipyards. “We know about preliminary orders secured by the shipyards but this situation cannot be satisfactory for us so far, especially, when it comes to shipyard More in Feodosia. It is necessary to discuss specific plans of shipyard’s loading: time, amount, cost of construction to be implemented by Crimean and Sevastopol shipyards in the interest of the Russian Federation as well as the number of specialists to be trained within a short period,” Dmitry Rogozin said.
According to Sergei Akseonov, Head of the Republic of Crimea, only 30% of the military-industrial complex of Crimea is loaded today. Special meeting dedicated to the problem is to be held this week.
