In March 2015, the port of Yeisk handled 275,400 t of cargo (-11.3%, year-on-year), Yeisk Harbour Master Sergei Grechkin told IAA PortNews.
Grain accounts for the bulk of the port's throughput - 132,600 t (+13%, year-on-year).
Three bunkering companies operating in the port during the reported period supplied 2,249 t of fuel.
In March, the port Administration registered 84 incoming and 85 outgoing vessels (against 72 and 79 vessels registered in March’14).
Sergei Grechkin accounts the increase in the number of calls to a more favorable ice situation while the decrease of throughput is explained by the calls of smaller vessels due to earlier lifting of ice navigation restrictions.
