Three-month cargo traffic at Ukraine's river ports rises 33.9% to 707,700 tonnes

In January-March 2015 trade flows passing river ports of Ukraine jumped 33.9% on Q1 2014 to 707,700 tonnes the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said.

In the reporting period handling of imports in the river ports fell 1.6% to 62,500 tonnes, while exports volume soared by 61.8% to 570,500 tonnes.

The agency also said that the consolidated volume of freight traffic handled at the terminals of sea and river ports in January-March 2015 amounted to 36,22 million tonnes.
