The MV Volgoneft-255, a tanker of shipping company Volgotrans LLC on April 20 opened the 2015 navigation season in Samara, deputy CEO of Volgotrans Alexei Palgov told IAA PortNews.
The tanker will take on board the first cargo of oil products and set sail on inland waterways to the port Kavkaz (the Black Sea, the Kerch Strait).
This shipping season the tankers operator will deploye all of the fleet - 14 vessels.
Volgotrans LLC was founded in September 2009 and specializes primarily in the transport of goods by inland waterways. The company operates its own and chartered fleet: 5400-tonne tankers for year-round navigation, 2500 to 4800-tonne tankers for seasonal operations, сombo vessels - OBO carriers, capable of carrying deck cargo and bulk oil, of capacity of up to 3,100 tonnes.
