Desparate Onega Shipyard clinches order book worth RUB 1.2 bn
A portfolio of orders for the period 2015 – H1 2016 worth RUB 1.2 billion has been secured for Petrozavodsk, Russia based Onega Shipyard, Rosmorechflot quoted a Ministry of Transport official as saying.
During his working visit to Petrozavodsk Deputy Transport Minister Viktor Olersky together with the Deputy head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport Sergei Gorelik and Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Hudilaynen visited the shipyard to see its capacity. Then the officials held a workshop on how to recover and re-launch the stagnating shipyard from May 2015.
Onega Shipyard was founded in 1944. The company is located on the shores of Lake Onega in Petrozavodsk, Russia. The shipyard specializes in the construction of bulk carriers, other merchant cargo ships and passenger vessels.
