Veniamin Kondratiev tapped as interim Governor of Krasnodar region (photo)
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree "On Acting Head of Administration (Governor) of the Krasnodar Territory," the Kremlin press office said. According to the decree Veniamin Kondratiev was appointed as Acting Head (Governor) of the Krasnodar Territory Administration. He takes over from former Governor of the southern Krasnodar region Alexander Tkachev who has been appointed as Minister of Agriculture of Russia.
The appointment enters into force on the day of the official publication of the decree.
Since 1994 Veniamin Kondratyev has worked in the Administration of the Krasnodar region. In 2003 he was appointed as Vice-Governor. In 2014 he moved to the Department for Presidential Affairs of the Russian Federation.
