Exolgan Buenos Aires Terminal completes implementation of Navis N4 terminal operating system

Navis announced that Exolgan Container Terminal in Buenos Aires (EBA) has successfully completed its implementation of the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS), the company said in its press release.
Upgrading to N4 from SPARCS Express was vital to prepare for future automated operational processes, update to a modern platform, support changing industry requirements and to improve ROI potential at the terminal.
“Exolgan was the first Terminal in the world to implement Navis Express, moving to N4 TOS platform was a natural path that will further enhance our operational excellence and will help us maintain and heighten our competitive edge in Argentina,” said Roberto Negro, CEO of EBA. “We have had a successful launch due to our team of great professionals and the rapid response and assistance from Navis.”
EBA is the only terminal in Buenos Aires with the capacity to simultaneously operate two mega vessels in the port. The N4 TOS implementation is part of a $170 million investment in infrastructure, equipment and technology at the terminal, giving EBA a distinct edge against competitors in the region.
“As a long-time SPARCS Express customer, we are proud that EBA has furthered its investment in Navis and our industry-leading TOS to drive necessary improvements in safety, customer service, productivity and efficiency at the terminal,” said Chuck Schneider, Regional General Manager for Navis. “We are confident that N4 will deliver these benefits and more, giving the facility a distinct competitive advantage in the region and positioning its operations for long-term success.”
