Throughput of port Yeisk up 10.2% to 993,600 t in Jan-Apr’15
In January-April, 2015, the port of Yeisk handled 993,600 t of cargo (+10.2%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Yeisk Sergei Grechkin told IAA PortNews.
Grain transshipment surged by 44.3% to 399,600 t, coal – by 12.3% to 210,800 t.
Exports increased gained 12.2% to 848,800 t, imports lost 45.1% to 43,900, transit – 13.9% to 48,700 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo surged 6.1 times to 52,200 t.
Bunker sales at the port totaled 7,600 t (218 operations) against 5,900 t of fuel (180 operations) in January-April 2014.
In the reported period, the port authorities registered 267 incoming and 284 outgoing vessels against 239 incoming and 240 outgoing vessels a year ago.
Sergei Grechkin attributes the growth to a favorable ice situation in QI'15 against QI'14.
