Passenger port of Saint Petersburg welcomes three cruise ships

Today, May 15, there are three cruise ships at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg – AIDAdiva that has come to the Port for the first time, Costa Pacifica and Norwegian Star. According to the port’s press center, the three vessels have brought over 10 000 people to St. Petersburg, including crew members.

The 12-day Baltic Sea cruise of AIDAdiva started in Warnemünde. Apart from St. Petersburg the cruise includes Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Gdynia and Copenhagen.

AIDAdiva belongs to the largest cruise company Carnival Corporation & plc and is a sister ship of AIDAbella and AIDAluna, Sphinx class, and a modified version of other vessels of the company – AIDAblu и AIDAsol. The ships AIDAbella, AIDAluna, AIDAblu and AIDAsol have already been to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg before. In total during the 2015 cruise season 11 calls of AIDAdiva, 5 calls of AIDAcara and 23 calls of AIDAmar are planned.

Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 311 m long and with a draft of up to 9 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length – 2,171.06 m.
