Marine Façade (Saint-Petersburg) welcomes six cruise ships (photo)
Today on May 19, there are six cruise ships at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg - AIDAmar (Carnival Corporation & plc), Costa Luminosa (Carnival Corporation & plc), Marco Polo (Global Cruise Lines Ltd.), MSC Orchestra (MSC Cruises), Queen Elizabeth (Carnival Corporation & plc) and Regal Princess (Carnival Corporation & plc), the port says in its press release. Marco Polo, Queen Elizabeth, Costa Luminosa and MSC Orchestra have made their first calls to Port in 2015 cruise season - Marco Polo and Queen Elizabeth came on May 18, Costa Luminosa and MSC Orchestra came today, May 19. Since 2009 the six ships above have altogether called Passenger port of Saint Petersburg over 130 times. In total the six vessels have brought over 17 000 passengers and crew to St. Petersburg.
Four ships - Queen Elizabeth, Marco Polo, MSC Orchestra and AIDAmar - will continue their Baltic Sea Cruises already this evening, while Regal Princess and Costa Luminosa are spending two days in St. Petersburg and then leaving on Wednesday, May 20th 2015.
Next time Passenger port of Saint Petersburg expects to welcome six cruise ships on June 30.
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay wall length – 2,171.06 m.
