Vladivostok is Russia’s busiest port in terms of fish exports. As for the ports of the Primorsky Territory, in 2014 they handled 1.7 mln t of fish which makes 77% of the Far Eastern Federal District’s fish, press center of the regional government cites Aleksandr Perednya, head of the District’s Fisheries Department, as saying today, July 31, at the meeting dedicated to the development of fishery industry’s port and logistic infrastructure in the Primorsky Territory.
According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture currently considers introduction of legal restrictions on fish exports via foreign ports.
The participants of the meeting headed by Ilja Shestakov, head of the Fisheries Agency of the Russian Federation, discussed optimization of transport-logistic chains for the delivery of products from the Far East, storage of fish and the capacity of refrigerating facilities.
