RF President visited the Sevastopol Presidential Cadet Academy and looked over the classrooms and dormitories, Kremlin press center says.
The President was shown the students’ dormitories, classrooms, sports centre, and photo studio.
Mr Putin signed the distinguished visitors’ book, wishing the cadets and their teachers good luck.
The Sevastopol Presidential Cadet Academy was established by a presidential order of March 20, 2014, at the initiative of Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. The first cadets began their studies in September 2014.
The academy’s main task is to provide general education and also offer additional educational programmes to prepare students for future work in public service. Military-patriotic training is an important part of the cadets’ education.
The teachers and instructors went through a stringent professional selection process and have a lot of teaching experience. Many of them are reserve officers. The cadets learn about the Russian Armed Forces’ traditions. In this respect, the Hero City of Sevastopol offers them much potential, and they also work together with other educational and cultural institutions in the city.
