Battalion tactic exercise of the Baltic Fleet marines was held at the Khmelevka (Kaliningrad region), says press center of RF Defence Ministry. The servicemen conducted defence operations as the shore.
The units were alerted and moved to the assigned area stealthily. According to the reconnaissance data, the simulated enemy was preparing for the assault operation.
The advanced units of the simulated enemy were liquidated by fire of BTR-82A APCs and standard weapons. The servicemen stopped the attack and fought the simulated enemy.
The marines improved their skills in handling standard weapons and armament, moving at the battlefield, and equipping fire positions.
About 500 marines, more than 40 pieces of military hardware, including 122mm self-propelled howitzers Gvozdika and 82mm mortars, were involved in the tactic exercise.
