Vladimir Putin has asked the Government to look into possible expansion of the Free Port of Vladivostok to involve other ports of the Far East Basin, says the press center of the Primorsky Territory.
“We count on the measures under this regime to let create transport and then industrial corridors for the territory development. Great interest in the possibility to use the free port opportunities has already been expressed by the western states and APR countries which see it as the shortest and, consequently, the most economically profitable way to the international sea routes. I suggest that Russian Government looks into the possibility of applying the free port status to other key harbors in the Far East,” RF President said.
