According to the Deputy Chief of the Coastal Troops of the Russian Navy Colonel Dmitry Gnezdilov, within the unannounced combat readiness inspection of the Central MD, marines of the Caspian flotilla marched from permanent bases (astrakhan and Kaspiysk) to the combat training ranges at the coastal zone of the Caspian Sea, press center of Defence Ministry says.
He mentioned that the training activities involved about 1 000 servicemen and more than 100 pieces of military hardware.
The servicemen have started to practice actions within units, as well as driving military vehicles overcoming natural and artificial obstacles.
Company commanders and platoon leaders have held tactical briefings on organization of actions within amphibious assault.
