On September 1, 2015, , UCL Holding) laid down the lead multi-functional rescue tugboat of Project TG17 (Hull No 2100) for FBI Marine Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency), says the project designer Marine Engineering Bureau.
The vessel of project TG17 is intended for towing of ships and floating facilities in the sea; execution of auxiliary operations within the port’s water area; participation in oil spill response activities (supply of OSR equipment and boom-laying outside the spill area); assistance in firefighting operations at floating and onshore facilities available from the sea; transportation of general cargo with loading/unloading onto/from the deck by port equipment or a shipboard crane.
The vessel’s area of navigation – sea districts corresponding to R1 area. Radio equipment can be operated in А1, А2, А3 areas.
The vessel’s characteristics: LOA – about 30.73 m; waterline length – 29.24 m; BOA – about 9.70 m; waterline beam – 9.10 m; depth – 4.10 m; draught – 3.1 m; speed – 10.0 knots; endurance - 10 days. Crew - 7, places - 12.
