Vympel Shipyard launches patrol boat of Mangust type, Project 12150 (photo)
On September 14, 2015, Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) launched the Mangust, fast patrol boat of project 12150 (Hull No 02642), the shipyard’s press center says.
According to the statement, it is the second ship within the framework of 2015 production programme. The boat is equipped with М470МК engines manufactured by Zvezda OJSC (Saint-Petersburg) instead of German diesel engines.
Upon completion of mooring and sea trials and acceptance/delivery tests, the boat will leave for Korsakov based Border Service of FSB in Sakhalin Region.
All in all, the shipyard is to build 7 patrol boats of Mangust type this year.
