Cargo traffic at Russia’s inland water ways down 4.7% to 80.3 mln t in navigation season of 2015
The volume of cargo carried by Russia’s inland water ways over the navigation season of 2015 totaled 80.3 mln t, - 4.7% against the previous year result (84.3 mln t), press center of Rosmorrechflot says.
Passenger traffic increased by 7% to 10.2 mln persons (9.6 mln in 2014).
Here are the results per basin:
White Sea – Onega Basin: cargo transportation – 165,700 t – 53.9% against 2014 (307,400 t); passenger transportation – 41,800 persons – 163.3% against 2014 (25,600 persons).
Volga-Baltic Basin: cargo transportation – 9.9 mln t – 88.2% against 2014 (11.2 mln t); passenger transportation – 312,100 persons – 106.2% against 2014 (293,800 persons).
Moscow Basin: cargo transportation – 12.6 mln t – 116.7% against 2014 (10.8 mln t); passenger transportation – 2.2 mln persons – 146% against 2014 (1.5 mln).
Volga Basin: cargo transportation – 25.9 mln t – 99.4% against 2014 (26.1 mln t); passenger transportation – 2.8 mln persons – 98.5% against 2014 (2.8 mln).
Volga-Don Basin: cargo transportation – 67,500 t– 39.4% against 2014 (171,300 t); passenger transportation – 6,700 persons – 89.7% against 2014 (7,400 persons).
Azov-Don Basin: cargo transportation – 5.0 mln t – 90.6% against 2014 (5.6 mln t); passenger transportation – 282,900 persons – 75.7% against 2014 (373,600 persons).
North Dvina Basin: cargo transportation – 2.0 mln t, flat year-on-year; passenger transportation – 965,200 persons – 98.4% against 2014 (981,000 persons).
Pechora Basin: cargo transportation – 82.4 тыс. тонн – 43.7% against 2014 (188,600 persons); passenger transportation – 73,200 persons – 112.7% against 2014 (64,900 persons).
Kama Basin: cargo transportation – 4.4 mln t – 73.2% against 2014 (6.0 mln t); passenger transportation – 844,700 persons – 104.8% against 2014 (805,700 persons).
Ob-Irtysh Basin: cargo transportation – 4.5 mln t – 72.4% against 2014 (6.3 mln t); passenger transportation – 763,000 persons – 92.7% against 2014 (822,800 persons).
Ob Basin: cargo transportation – 2.9 mln t – 62.4% against 2014 (4.6 mln t); passenger transportation – 358,500 persons – 105.9% against 2014 (338,600 persons).
Yenisei Basin: cargo transportation – 3.9 mln t – 111.5% against 2014 (3.5 mln t); passenger transportation – 616.900 persons – 158.8% against 2014 (388,400 persons).
Baikal-Angara Basin: cargo transportation – 1.1 mln t – 80.9% against 2014 (1.3 млн. тонн); passenger transportation – 111,900 persons – 84.4% against 2014 (132,600 persons).
Lena Basin: cargo transportation – 3.2 mln t – 96.7% against 2014 (3.3 mln t); passenger transportation – 361,300 persons – 99.9% against 2014 (361,700 persons).
Amur Basin: cargo transportation – 3.7 mln t – 170.5% against 2014 (2.2 mln t); passenger transportation – 469,200 persons – 77.2% against 2014 (608.000 persons).
