The research group aboard the Senezh hydrographical vessel of the Northern Fleet started research at the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Today the research works are performed on the Severny Island. The research is connected with the study of coastal line and those areas where the glaciers have melted down and the specialists have the opportunity to examine the hidden areas of the coast.
The vessel had arrived after completing research tasks near the Frantz Josef Land Archipelago. There the specialists took photos of the button relief of the Arctic Ocean.
