Baltic Fleet forces are moving to permanent bases after Union Shield — 2015 exercise

Motorized, artillery and coastal defence units of the Baltic Fleet are moving to the permanent bases after performing assigned tasks during the joint Russian-Belarusian operational exercise Union Shield — 2015, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

Ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet are moving to the main base of the fleet — Baltiysk.

In total, more than 1,500 servicemen, up to 20 warships, 10 aircraft and about 200 pieces of combat and special hardware were involved in the exercise.
