RF Navy’s newest rescue ship Igor Belousov successfully launches deep water diving system
The 4th stage of factory tests and the second stage of interservice testings of the deep water diving system are held on the oceanic rescue ship Igor Belousov built at the Admiralty Shipyards for the Russian Navy, says press center of Russia’s Defence Ministry.
In the course of six hours, the servicemen checked the possibility of recompression chamber to receive 23 rescued submarine crew members.
In the first half of September, during the first stage of interservice trials, the ship plunged the diving bell to the depth of 450 metres without divers. The sensors inside it checked its working conditions. The UUV Pantera Plus was also tested.
The second stage is carried out now involving diving personnel and specialists. Twelve divers of the Russian Navy participate in the testing.
The rescue ship Igor Belousov will have made part of the Russian Navy by the end of 2015 after the fourth stage of factory trials.
