New frigate Admiral Gorshkov set off for state trials in the White Sea
Today, September 21, the new frigate Admiral of the fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov departed from the main military naval base of the Baltic Fleet (city of Baltiysk) and headed to the White Sea for state trials, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
After the cruise to the Northern Fleet, the crew of the lead frigate of project 22350 Admiral of the fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov jointly with the representatives of industry will start state trials of the ship at sea ranges.
The frigate has already passed all the factory tests at the Baltic Fleet. The work of the main powerplant, ships systems, auxiliary mechanisms, communication, navigation and radar complexes as well as anchorage apparatus was checked.
Moreover, the ship underwent vibration and maneuvering trials, performed a number of artillery and missile firings as well as accomplished ASW missions jointly with naval aviation.
It is planned that by the end of this year it will have made part of the Russian Navy.
