By adding a new roll-on/roll-off service 'Leixões-London-Zeebrugge', CLdN strengthens the company’s services to Portugal. For this new sailing route, CLdN will deploy one of its state of the art Ro-Ro vessels, bringing a significant weekly increase in trailer and container capacity.
“The expansion reflects the strength of the Portuguese market for both cars, containers, trailers and all other rolling cargo”, CLdN states.
CLdN have recognised the continuing strength of demand to and from Portugal and have taken steps to meet the requirements of the market.
The service comes with an expansion of the CLdN fleet. This extra vessel will sail from Leixões on Friday at 24:00 to arrive in London on Monday at 18:00 from where she will continue to Zeebrugge at 24:00. She will return on Tuesday at 18:00 from Zeebrugge to arrive in Leixões on Friday at 09:00.
The new Portugal service will be introduced as of Monday 28th September 2015 with the first sailings from London and Zeebrugge to Leixões.
CLdN ro-ro SA, the European Short Sea specialist, has recently announced an ambitious and extensive fleet expansion programme with the order of two 8.000lm vessels and 10 more 4.000lm to 8.000lm vessels to be added. This results in an offer of more than 100 sailings per week between the ports of Dublin, Esbjerg, Gothenburg, Killingholme, Leixões, London, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge.
