OOCL has undertaken enhancement for its Trans-Atlantic trade, Gateway Express (GEX) 1 and 2 services. The Company said this was done in an effort to increase schedule reliability and adjust to market requirements.
The Gateway Express service enhancement measures include:
• Implementation of a fourth vessel in GEX2
• Replace the Liverpool eastbound call on GEX1 by a Southampton call on GEX2
By injecting an additional vessel in our GEX2 service and replacing the direct Liverpool eastbound call on our GEX1 service by a direct Southampton call of our GEX2 service, we will maintain our comprehensive port coverage and transit times while providing the required buffer in our schedule to offer reliable products year round.
The effective sailings are:
GEX1: MSC Alyssa 96E45 ETD Montreal on November 8, ETA Antwerp on November 18
GEX2: Montreal Express 59E46 ETD Montreal on November 5, ETA Southampton on November 11
The revised port rotations will be:
GEX1: Antwerp • Bremerhaven • Le Havre • Liverpool • Montreal • Antwerp
GEX2: Southampton • Antwerp • Hamburg • Montreal • Southampton
