VOS Sympathy assists in oil recovery operations of MV Flinterstar

Vroon Offshore Services B.V. have contracted their VOS Sympathy (DP2 Subsea Support Vessel) to Dutch Salvors Multraship Salvage B.V. and Smit Salvage B.V. in the context of the oil recovery operations of MV Flinterstar, which partially sunk off the Belgian coast following a collision on 6 October 2015.
 
VOS Sympathy is assisting with the task of receiving and storing the oil retrieved from the casualty, which will be safely discharged ashore, as well as supporting the salvage crew.
