In January-November 2015, seaport Yuzhny (Ukraine) handled 39,459,400 t of cargo (+2.3%, year-on-year), says Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
In the reported period, exports totaled 34,395,300 t (+3.3%), imports – 4,623,000 t (+21.9%).
Transshipment of grain totaled 8,848,700 t (+10.4%), carbamide – 1,257,400 t (+10.2%), ore – 23,627,500 t (+6.7%).
Yuzhny port is located at the north-western coast of the Black Sea, in ice-free Maly Adzhalyksky (Grigorievsky) estuary, 30 km from Odessa port. The port’s approach channel is 3 miles long and 18.5 meters deep. The port’s major stevedoring company is the state-owned Commercial Sea Port Yuzhny. In HI’2015, port operators of port Yuzhny handled 24,257,000 t of cargo (+10.3%, year-on-year).
