Throughput of Kavkaz up 46.4% to 24.50 mln t in 11M’15

In January-November 2015, port Kavkaz handled 24,509,000 t (+46.4%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 11,787,000 t (-9.1%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of by 34%  to 4,116,000 t, oil products – down 12.9% to 7,835,000 t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers – down 30.4% to 1,731,000 t, LPG – down 2.5 times to 165,000 t

Exports from port Kavkaz grew 2.9 times to 3,210,000 t, imports fell by 41.9% to 229,000 t, transshipment of coastal trade cargo surged 5.7 times to 8,779,000 t.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 29.3% to 504,900 t.

Passenger turnover jumped by 76.3% to 4,608,716 passengers. 

The number of calls increased by 39.7% to 19,654 calls.

Port of Kavkaz is situated between the Azov and the Russian Black Sea coast. The depth of 4.5 meters allows for handling river boats and seagoing ships (off the harbour). The port’s facilities are intended for handling bulked cargoes (mineral fertilizers, concentrates of various ores, grain) as well as general, timber, and containerized goods. In 2014, the port handled 10.17 mln t of cargo.
