Total value of contracts signed by shipyard Lotus (Astrakhan Region, United Shipbuilding Corporation) for construction of different vessels exceeds RUB 1.5 bln, says press center of Caspian Energy Group.
Shipyard Lotus has signed a contract for the eights cargo pontoon of Project 6516 for Moscow Shipping Company “ARK. The contract worth RUB 102 mln is to be completed in mid-June 2016.
“We have recently signed contract with Volgotrans for construction of two chemical tankers based on Project RST25. The delivery is scheduled for April-May of the next year. Each vessel costs RUB 740 mln with zero VAT,” says Vladimir Kulakov, acting Director General of the shipyard.
According to him, the shipyard as the resident of special economic zone should under the federal law invest at least RUB 120 bln within the 3-year period into its modernization but the shipyard needs more. The 5-year programme is RUB 896 mln.
“Within the coming three years USC will invest RUB 320 mln including RUB 295 mln in 2016”, said Vladimir Kulakov.
