In January 2015, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 3.68 mln t of cargo (-10%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 22% to 712,200 t, mineral fertilizers – down 11% to 567,700 t, ferrous metal – down 6% to 355,400 t, scrap metal – down 50% to 84,700 t.
The port’s container throughput dropped by 4.7% to 129,910 TEUs.
In 2015, the port handled 51.51 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.71 mln TEUs.
