Establishment of transport & logistics center (TLC) at Vladivostok will let increase the port’s container throughput by 30% due to logistic optimization. As Aleksei Lavrenov, Deputy Director General of TransContainer, told IAA PortNews at the round table meeting dedicated to the problems of the Baltic transport and logistic complex amid development of continental logistics at Asia-Europe-Asia routes, the first phase of TLC is to be put into operation in 2016, the second one – in 2017 provided that the project pays off.
The Company also looks into creation of a transport & logistics center near Saint-Petersburg.
In 2015, throughput of port Vladivostok totaled 619,000 TEUs.
