TransContainer set to carry 4 mln TEUs per year by 2020

PJSC TransContainer is going to carry 4-4.2 mln TEUs per year by 2020, IAA PortNews journalist cites Aleksei Lavrenov, Deputy Director General of TransContainer, as saying at the round table meeting dedicated to the problems of the Baltic transport and logistic complex amid development of continental logistics at Asia-Europe-Asia routes. Aleksei Lavrenov says the growth can be achieved through expansion of the network of customs and logistics centers and providing 4PL services.

TransContainer is Russia’s leading intermodal container transportation and logistics company, providing comprehensive container transportation and freight management services. With about 60,000 ISO containers and over 25,000 flatcars, the Company manages its fleet on more than 300,000 routes in Russia and abroad, providing a wide range of reliable and tailored container services. Additionally, the Company owns a network of rail-side container terminals located at 46 railway stations in Russia and operates one terminal Dobra in Slovakia. Through its joint venture with Kazakhstan Railways, TransContainer also operates 18 freight terminals in Kazakhstan, including the Dostyk border crossing with China.
