It is planned to install 5 LNG tanks with the capacity of 1 thousand cubic meters each, two truck filling stations at the LNG reloading station, and other necessary infrastructure, so that onshore terminal could function and operate safely and reliably. Technical design allows the installation of the terminal with 10 thousand cubic meters capacity.
The agreement provides that the Contractor is responsible for the procurement of LNG horizontal tanks, their supply, production, testing, delivery, construction, as well as pre commissioning, commissioning and handing over for exploitation of LNG handling, firefighting and other equipment.
„We have solid experience in LNG terminal construction that does not have analogues in the region and this experience allows us feel much stronger in developing LNG activities. Through knowledge and experience that we already have, we came a long way of negotiations before signing this agreement. We believe that the successful contractor, that took part in construction of the large LNG terminal, is experienced and competent to implement this project on time, and we in our turn, will be ready to carry out its objectives and meet the market needs. We would like to emphasize once again that the project is financed without the state help using only the company's finances and use of European Union mechanisms, but it shall fully serve our country: the project will enable a more efficient use of the large LNG terminal, will reduce the maintenance costs and create added value for the state and the port in development of a new business branch”, - comments Mantas Bartuška the CEO of SC Klaipėdos Nafta.
The State owns 72,32 percent of SC Klaipedos Nafta shares.
