Throughput of port Kavkaz down 12% to 2.252 mln t in Jan-Feb'16
In January-February 2016, port Kavkaz handled 2.252 mln t of cargo (-12%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 362,000 t (down 3 times, year-on-year).
Transshipment of oil products fell by 36% to 925,000 t, sulphur – up 34% to 192,000 t, LPG – up 10% to 53,000 t. No grain was handled in January 2016 while in January-February 2015 the port handled 16,000 t of grain.
Exports from port Kavkaz climbed 1%, year-on-year, to 104,000 t, imports – fell by 59% to 13,000 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo increased by 39% to 1,739,000 t.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 39% to 34,000 t.
Passenger turnover climbed by 27% to 334,224 passengers.
The number of calls increased by 45% to 2,608 calls.
