Fishery is a sector requiring adequate state regulation and stimulation, Murmansk Region Governor Marina Kovtun said when greeting the participants of the II international conference “Fishery in the Artic: modern challenges, international practices, prospects” opened in Murmansk on March 16, 2016, says press center of the regional government.
To ensure sustainable development of fishing industry in the Arctic all interested countries should pursuit a well-considered state policy aimed at preservation of clean sea, application of strict environmental rules to all production facilities in the Arctic, reasonable use of water bioresources.
