Rosmorport reports of on icebreaking support in seaports of the Russian Federation
From the start of navigation in the Russian freezing seaports, icebreakers of FSUE “Rosmorport” escorted over 3 thousand vessels as of March 21, 2016, Rosmorport says.
The Arctic Basin
Icebreaking support in the seaport of Sabetta is provided by icebreakers Moscow and Thor. The number of vessels escorted to the port from the start of icebreaking support amounts to 50.
The White Sea
In this area the vessel traffic is provided by four icebreakers: Kapitan Dranitsyn, Kapitan Evdokimov, Kapitan Chadaev and Dikson. From the start of winter navigation 213 vessels were escorted.
The Gulf of Finland
16 icebreakers of the enterprise are operating in the region. From the start of navigation 749 vessels were escorted.
For the period of 14 to 21 of March 2016 79 vessels were escorted.
The world's largest diesel-powered fleet, consisting of 31 icebreakers of various capacities, guarantees year-round availability of seaports of the country.
