Containerships starts calling Neva Metal terminal in St.Petersburg
Containerships is launching a direct call at the Neva Metal terminal in St. Petersburg to complement the Containerships services to the Moby Dik terminal on Kronstadt Island, the company said in its press release.
Neva Metal Terminal will be included to the weekly service on the Intra Baltic loop as follows:
Lübeck Friday
Aarhus Saturday
Helsinki Monday
St. Petersburg Moby Dik Tuesday
St. Petersburg Neva Metal Arrival Tuesday evening / departure Wednesday morning
Lübeck Friday
The service will start with the first sailing from Lübeck on Friday 8th April. There will be no impact on the current regular connections between Aarhus, Lübeck and St. Petersburg (Moby Dik).
Neva Metal is on the north side of the same peninsula that the First Container Terminal is on and is served by Baltic customs. A direct railway connection on the terminal will further improve our transit time to locations further afield within Russia and Central Asia. The terminal is equipped with hangar style warehousing, enabling covered cross-docking for both dry and refrigerated cargoes.
