In January-February 2015, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 7.55 mln t of cargo (-7%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 23% to 1.30 mln t, dry bulk cargo – by 6% to 1.12 mln t, general cargo – by 5% to 1.74 mln t including 212,200 t of metal scrap (-47%).
The port’s container throughput increased by 10.1% to 277,631 TEUs..
In 2015, the port handled 51.51 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.71 mln TEUs.
