Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports down 10.5% to 32 mln t in Jan-March'16

In January-March 2016, seaports of Ukraine handled 32,073,000 t of cargo (-10.5%), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 24,789,000 t (+4%), import – 4,455,000 t (- 12.5%), transit – 2,733,000 (-51.3), inland traffic – 95,520 t.

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 145,475 TEUs (+6.9%, year-on-year).

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 9.354 mln t (29% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 22.719 mln t (71% of total volume) including 12.630 mln t handled via USPA berths (39% of total volume).
