In January-March 2016, port Kavkaz handled 3.413 mln t of cargo (-4%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 523,000 t (down 2.6 times, year-on-year).
Transshipment of oil products fell by 30% to 1.299 mln t, LPG – by 6% to 73,000 t, grain – by 62% to 32,000 t. Sulphur transshipment increased by 59% to 241,000 t.
Exports from port Kavkaz climbed 3%, year-on-year, to 126,000 t; transshipment of coastal trade cargo increased by 40% to 2,690,000 t; imports – fell by 52% to 21,000 t.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 38% to 53,000 t.
Passenger turnover climbed by 37% to 574,193 passengers.
The number of calls increased by 43% to 4,067 calls.
